Myrtle R Goodnow passed away on November 25 2016 in Scarborough, Maine. She was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on November 8, 1933 to Clifford Webster and Marion Esther (Cheney) Bosselman.

Myrtle lived in Medfield, MA until her marriage to Marcus Morton Goodnow, Jr. settling in Bellingham, MA. In 1970 Myrtle and Mark moved to Falmouth Maine to open Sturdy Heating Company. In the years following Myrtle worked as a Retail Merchandiser for Hallmark Cards and American Greetings and as a Realtor for Century 21 Real Estate.

Myrtle R Goodnow passed away on November 25 2016 in Scarborough, Maine. She was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on November 8, 1933 to Clifford Webster and Marion Esther (Cheney) Bosselman.

Myrtle lived in Medfield, MA until her marriage to Marcus Morton Goodnow, Jr. settling in Bellingham, MA. In 1970 Myrtle and Mark moved to Falmouth Maine to open Sturdy Heating Company. In the years following Myrtle worked as a Retail Merchandiser for Hallmark Cards and American Greetings and as a Realtor for Century 21 Real Estate.

Myrtle was a cancer survivor being diagnosed in the early 1990's. She immensely enjoyed her role as a volunteer at the South Portland Cancer Community Center where she counseled many cancer victims and helped them live through difficult times.

Myrtle was an avid needlework artist spending many hours creating pieces which she shared with her family and friends.

In 1983 Myrtle and Mark built their retirement home in South Portland where she resided until her passing.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus M Goodnow, Jr., her brother, Clifford Bosselman, sister, Elizabeth Davis and infant son, Mark Webster Goodnow. She is survived by her daughters Donna L and son-in-law Scott Correll of Dover Pennsylvania, Trudy A and son-in-law George Asail of Gorham, Maine and Stacey Goodnow of Standish, Maine, her brother Bruce Bosselman and brother-in-law Kevin Henkel of Waynesboro Virginia, her grandchildren Jason Willerson, Derek Willerson, Joshua Little, Scott Little, Lacey Knudsen, Marcus Knudsen, her great grandchildren Keghan Little, Mckenzie Little, Dorian Willerson and Connnor Little. She is also survived by her life-long friends Barbara Paul and Jackie Holmberg.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 1st at 1pm at Jones, Rich & Hutchins; 199 Woodford Street, Portland, with a reception immediately following
