PORTLAND- Mary Ottati, 96, of Westbrook, Maine and Pueblo, Colorado passed away on May 16, 2017 at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation and Residence in Portland after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on August 2, 1920 in Cuchara, Colorado the daughter of Juan and Domicinda Abeyta.

Mary was a devoted member of Jehovah's Witnesses congregations in California, Colorado and Portland, Maine for over 65 years. She was a generous and hospitable homemaker. She was an excellent cook and hosted many meals for family and friends alike.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Diane Shane and husband Richard of Westbrook, Maine; grandson, Patrick Shane; great granddaughters, Andrea and Amber Shane of Vinalhaven, Maine as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Joe, "Augie" Ottati and her precious daughter, Barbara.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to "adopted" daughter/niece, Judy Winters, for her many years of loving care.

A memorial service will be held on May 25th at 7pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 355 Canco Road Portland, Maine.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mary's memory to Alzheimer's Association 383 US Rt 1 Suite 2C Scarborough, Maine.
